Blues vs. Maple Leafs Prediction, Best Bets & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Matchup
Tonight features a cross-conference showdown as the Toronto Maple Leafs host the St. Louis Blues.
John Tavares has been “Mr. Consistent” all season, and my Blues vs. Maple Leafs predictions back him to keep firing pucks on home ice.
Here’s the full breakdown—and why I’m confident in this angle—in my free NHL picks for the November 18 matchup.
Blues vs Maple Leafs prediction
Blues vs. Maple Leafs Best Bet: John Tavares Over 2.5 Shots (-135)
The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to snap a five-game skid tonight as they welcome the St. Louis Blues to Scotiabank Arena. Despite the recent struggles, Toronto showed signs of life in its last outing against Chicago.
The Leafs outshot the Blackhawks 33–32, just the second time in their last eight games that they’ve finished with the shot advantage—an encouraging trend as they try to regain form.
I’m expecting that upward shot trend to carry over into tonight’s matchup with the Blues, a team that has allowed an average of 32 shots against over its last eight games.
With that in mind, I’m targeting the Maple Leafs’ shot market—specifically John Tavares. He’s averaging 2.94 shots per game this season and has topped this number in 11 of his last 13 outings.
Tavares has also taken on a heavier workload with Auston Matthews sidelined. His ice time has jumped from an average of 17:25 to 21:55 per game since moving up to the top-line center role, giving him even more opportunity to keep firing pucks on net.
Blues vs Maple Leafs same-game parlay
John Tavares has racked up 24 points this season and has arguably been the Maple Leafs’ most reliable forward. He’s recorded at least one point in 12 of his last 14 games, maintaining a steady offensive presence.
Bobby McMann has also been producing, with four goals in four career games against the Blues. He’s riding a bit of a hot hand as well, finding the back of the net twice in his last three games.
