For the sixth consecutive day, Iran has launched attacks on Israel. According to Press TV, under Operation True Promise Three, Iran carried out its most intense assault during the late hours of Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. The long-range missiles reportedly penetrated all layers of Israel’s air defense systems, destroying several sensitive installations. The attack began at 1:30 AM Iranian time.

Some Israeli media outlets reported that Israeli settlers were extremely angry with the so-called Home Command, as they did not receive sirens in time to seek shelter in underground bunkers.
An Israeli Telegram channel shared a video of the Iranian missile strikes and commented:

Reports said that during the time of the Fajr (dawn) prayer on Wednesday, missiles were seen flying over the skies of the occupied West Bank. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that during late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, as part of the eleventh phase of their operation, they launched hypersonic missiles towards Israel.
Fattah-1 missiles have been launched.
During the Iranian attack on Israel on October 1, 2024, Iran had also fired several Fattah-1 missiles. However, in the current phase of the operation, this is likely the first time that Fattah-1 missiles have been used. Iran unveiled the Fattah missile in 2023.

"Our attacks against Israel are ongoing, complex, multi-layered, and will continue step by step. We have targeted the air bases from which the Zionists launched attacks on Iranian soil."
Earlier, Iran’s state news agency INA reported that on Tuesday, Iran began attacks on Israeli targets as part of the tenth phase of its operation.
Al Jazeera reported that during the late hours of Tuesday night, air raid sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and throughout Israel as Iranian missile attacks were underway.
Even on Wednesday morning, Iranian missiles were still visible in Israeli skies, according to local media reports.
It was reported that some missiles—or their debris—directly struck areas in Jerusalem and the greater Tel Aviv region.
One Iranian strike caused a massive fire in an Israeli parking lot, destroying at least 20 vehicles.

On the other hand, Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued a statement urging Israel to immediately stop illegal attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The statement added:
"Western countries are attempting to use the current crisis to settle political scores."
Further:
"Israel’s ongoing and intense attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities are illegal under international law. These actions pose a serious threat to global security and risk pushing the world toward a nuclear catastrophe that will affect not just Israel, but the entire world."
Russia also stated:
The statement further accused:
"Some Western powers are seeking to exploit the situation."
However, no specific countries were named.
The meeting is expected to take place in the White House at noon, Washington local time.
During the meeting, President Donald Trump and General Asim Munir will also attend a dinner together.
General Munir has been in the United States since June 14.
This meeting with Trump was pre-scheduled.

With Iran-Israel tensions reaching a boiling point in the Middle East, some U.S. lawmakers are taking steps to prevent President Trump from taking military action against Iran without congressional approval.
This step comes at a time when the United States is sending more warplanes to the Middle East and increasing missions for some already deployed squadrons.
A U.S. defense official has stated that the new deployments include F-6, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets.
In this context, several lawmakers from both parties in Congress have taken initiatives to limit President Trump's war powers.
Republican Congressman Thomas Massie from Kentucky has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives requiring Trump to obtain Congressional approval before taking any military action against Iran.
He stated that war is acceptable for national security only when it is absolutely necessary to protect the United States.
Senator Bernie Sanders went further, accusing Israel of deliberately attacking Iran to sabotage ongoing diplomatic efforts, especially the nuclear talks.
Senator Rand Paul also opposed military intervention, saying, “It is not our responsibility to get involved in this war.”
Congressman Massie tweeted, “This is not our war.”
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar tweeted, “No one is attacking Americans, nor have they. It’s time to stop dragging Americans into this war.” Still, it is believed that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump may launch strikes against Iran in support of Israel.

ইরানি সংবাদমাধ্যমের বরাত দিয়ে জানা গেছে, জেনারেল মুনির গত মে মাসের শেষের দিকে ইরানের সশস্ত্র বাহিনীর তৎকালীন প্রধান মোহাম্মদ হোসেন বাঘেরির সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেছিলেন।
গত ১৩ জুন, ইসরাইলের বিমান হামলায় বাঘেরি নিহত হন।
এদিকে, মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প ইসরাইলের সঙ্গে মিলে ইরানের পারমাণবিক স্থাপনাগুলোর উপর যৌথ হামলা চালানোর বিষয়টি বিবেচনা করছেন।
বিবিসি'র যুক্তরাষ্ট্র-ভিত্তিক অংশীদার সিবিএস নিউজের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, ফোর্দুসহ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পারমাণবিক স্থাপনাগুলো হামলার লক্ষ্যবস্তু হতে পারে বলে একাধিক সূত্র জানিয়েছে।
সূত্রগুলোর বরাতে বলা হয়েছে, এ নিয়ে হোয়াইট হাউসে এক বৈঠকে আলোচনা হওয়ার কথা ছিল, কিন্তু ট্রাম্পের ঘনিষ্ঠ উপদেষ্টারা এখনও এ বিষয়ে পূর্ণ ঐক্যমতে পৌঁছাতে পারেননি।
একজন সিনিয়র মার্কিন কূটনীতিক সম্প্রতি এটিআরটি ওয়ার্ল্ড-কে জানিয়েছেন:
তিনি আরও বলেন:
"এ নিয়ে আলোচনা চলছে, তবে সিদ্ধান্তটা আমাদের নয়, হোয়াইট হাউস নেবে।"
মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে ইরান-ইসরাইল উত্তেজনা চরমে পৌঁছানোয়, মার্কিন কংগ্রেস সদস্যরা প্রেসিডেন্ট ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প যেন কংগ্রেসের অনুমতি ছাড়া ইরানের বিরুদ্ধে সামরিক পদক্ষেপ নিতে না পারেন— সে জন্য আইনি পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন।
এর পেছনে মূল লক্ষ্য একটি বিস্তৃত যুদ্ধ এড়ানো।
এই পদক্ষেপ এমন এক সময় এসেছে যখন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে আরও যুদ্ধবিমান পাঠাচ্ছে এবং আগে থেকেই মোতায়ন করা কিছু বিমান বহরের মিশন বাড়াচ্ছে।
মার্কিন প্রতিরক্ষা কর্মকর্তাদের একজন জানান, নতুন মোতায়নের মধ্যে রয়েছেন এফ-6, এফ-২২ ও এফ-৩৫ যুদ্ধবিমান।
এই প্রেক্ষাপটে কংগ্রেসের দুই দলের বেশ কয়েকজন আইনপ্রণেতা ট্রাম্পের যুদ্ধ ক্ষমতা সীমিত করার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন। ক্যান্টাকির রিপাবলিকান কংগ্রেসম্যান থমাস মেসি প্রতিনিধি পরিষদে একটি বিল উত্থাপন করেছেন, যাতে বলা হয়েছে ইরানের বিরুদ্ধে কোন সামরিক পদক্ষেপ নিতে চাইলে ট্রাম্পকে অবশ্যই কংগ্রেসের অনুমোদন নিতে হবে।
সেনেটেও একই ধরনের একটি প্রস্তাব পেশ করেছেন ভার্জিনিয়ার ডেমোক্র্যাট সেনেটর টিম কেন।
তিনি বলেছেন, আমাদের জাতীয় নিরাপত্তার জন্য যুদ্ধ তখনই গ্রহণযোগ্য, যখন এটি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রকে রক্ষা করতে অপরিহার্য হয়।
সেনেটর বার্নি স্যান্ডার্স আরও এক ধাপে গিয়ে অভিযোগ করেছেন, ইসরাইল ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে ইরানে হামলা চালিয়েছে, যাতে চলমান কূটনৈতিক প্রচেষ্টা, বিশেষ করে পারমাণবিক সংলাপ, বিঘ্নিত হয়।
সেনেটর রান্ট পলও সামরিক হস্তক্ষেপের বিরোধিতা করে বলেছেন, এই যুদ্ধে জড়ানো আমাদের দায়িত্ব নয়।
কংগ্রেসম্যান মেসি এক্সে লিখেছেন, “এটা আমাদের যুদ্ধ নয়।”
কংগ্রেসম্যান ইলহান ওমর এক্সে লিখেছেন, “কেউ আমেরিকানদের উপর আক্রমণ করছে না বা করেনি। এখন সময় এসেছে আমেরিকানদের এই যুদ্ধে টেনে আনা বন্ধ করার।”
কিন্তু প্রায় ৬০ শতাংশ মার্কিন নাগরিক চলমান সংকটে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সামরিক জড়িত হওয়ার বিরোধী।
গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান ইউগোভর এক জরিপে এমনই ফলাফল উঠে এসেছে।
জরিপের ফলাফল দেখায় মাত্র ১৬ শতাংশ অংশগ্রহণকারী বলেছেন তারা ইরানে মার্কিন বাহিনীর হামলার পক্ষে। আর ২৪ শতাংশ বলেছেন তারা এখনো বিষয়টি নিয়ে স্থির কোন সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে পারেননি। জরিপে অংশ নেওয়া অর্ধেক মার্কিনি মনে করেন ইরান যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের শত্রু। আর ২৫ শতাংশ বলেছেন দুই দেশের সম্পর্ক অবন্ধ সুলভ।
ইসরাইলের মার্কিন দূতাবাস এক বিবৃতিতে জানিয়েছে, জেরুজালেমে অবস্থিত যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের দূতাবাস বুধবার থেকে আগামী শুক্রবার পর্যন্ত তিন দিন বন্ধ থাকবে। একই সঙ্গে দেশটির রাজধানী তেল আবিবে মার্কিন দূতাবাসের কন্সুলার সেবাও এ সময় বন্ধ থাকবে।
বিবৃতিতে বলা হয়েছে, ইসরায়েল ও ইরানের মধ্যে চলমান উত্তেজনার কারণে তিন দিনের জন্য দূতাবাস বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। সেই সঙ্গে দূতাবাসের কর্মী এবং তাদের পরিবারের সদস্যদের নিরাপদ স্থানে আশ্রয় নিতে বলা হয়েছে।
মার্কিন দূতাবাস আরো জানিয়েছে, ইসরাইল ছেড়ে যেতে বেসরকারি মার্কিন নাগরিকদের সহায়তা করার বিষয়ে এই মুহূর্তে তাদের কোনো ঘোষণা নেই।
দূতাবাসের বিবৃতি অনুযায়ী, ইসরাইলের বৃহত্তম আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দর ও সমুদ্র বন্দরগুলো এখনো বন্ধ রয়েছে।
আলজাজিরা জানিয়েছে, ইরানের শুক্রবার শুরু হওয়া হামলায় এ পর্যন্ত ২৪০ জন নিহত হয়েছেন, যাদের মধ্যে ৭০ জন নারী ও শিশু। অন্যদিকে, ইসরাইলে ইরানি হামলায় অন্তত ২৪ জন নিহত এবং চার শতাধিক আহত হয়েছে বলে নিশ্চিত করেছে ইসরাইল কর্তৃপক্ষ।
বিভিন্ন সংবাদমাধ্যম ইসরাইলে হতাহতের প্রকৃত সংখ্যা অনেক বেশি হতে পারে বলে উল্লেখ করেছে, কারণ যুদ্ধে নিহতদের সংখ্যা প্রকাশের উপর সংবাদ মাধ্যমের উপর বিধিনিষেধ আরোপ করেছে ইসরাইল সরকার।
